So, we were in the Jeep driving home from Trader Joe’s the other day and Arya was tired and hungry and crying/fussy. Mackenzie is a good helper when it comes to fussy little sis. She will “shhhhush” her, talk to her and sing to her to try to get her to calm down. Her favorite go to song to sing to her is “Angels Watching Over Me”. Many times it actually helps a great deal. This time, she starts talking to and shushing Arya and says, “Youuuuu’re fine. You’re gonna be fiiiine.” After a minute, she declares, “Well that didn’t work!!”😂🤷🏻♀️
I love hearing M trying to incorporate new, “bigger” words into her daily vocabulary! Although she does relatively well using new words that she learns, she occasionally doesn’t know how to use them in exactly the right context. For example, the other day she came in my room and told me, “Arya’s not being responsible to me”. Funny, the ways kids think and learn.
