Musings of Mackenzie

You can see Jupiter really bright next to the moon tonight. I took Roe and Bear outside to see it and was showing them the constellations with my app and Bear pointed to another star and said “there’s another constipation!” 😂

Laying down in bed tonight and Bear (Barrett, 3) is snuggling with me in bed. I asked him, “are you my snuggle bug?” He said yeah. So I asked, “are you my snuggle BEAR?” And he said “no, I not a snuggle bear. I a Bubba snuggle!” 😂 it was the cutest, funniest thing! Then I told him,  “I love you, Bubba snuggle!” and he replied, “I love you, Mom snuggle!” 🤣😭🥹

  The other day as we were walking the trail to the park, Rowen came up to me with this little weed in her hand, so excited and said to me, “mom! I found a seven leaf clover !! I never found a seven leaf clover before!! I’m so lucky!!” 🥹 It was the sweetest thing to see and hear her joy and enthusiasm over something so simple, combined with her innocence and positivity. It made me think how I wished that we as adults could have that same pure, uninhibited mindset and energy. If only we could tune in to our inner child. My child doesn’t know that it is only a four leaf clover that is considered “lucky” or if the plant she was holding was even a genuine clover . She perceived it with her own eyes and mindset and that was good enough for her. 🩷🍀

Mackenzie has to take a physical fitness test and when she asked why she has to take it, I told the the government wants to be in everyone’s business. So tonight Mackenzie was telling Arya about it and that it’s because the government is “nosy”. Arya, as she’s walking away, responds, “I want to be nosy like the government!” Also, the other day, she was talking about becoming president one day and saying that she’s going to be eliminate taxes. She said there will only be one person who will vote for taxes and then asked, “you know who it is?….my BUTT!”  🤣🤣😂😂💀💀

I was getting ready to leave for work today and I told Bear (almost 3) to be good. His response was to give me the same advice: “be good, Mommy!” 😂🥰

Rowen was talking about her friend that I didn’t recognize the name before she got in bed. And Arya, who was sitting in bed reading a book, without even looking up goes “ it’s her invisible friend. She’s real. She just drank a potion.” They always talk about having real invisible friends. And I just thought it was so funny that Arya was so matter of fact about it. Like it was just every day stuff to have an invisible friend that drank a potion to make her invisible lol
